Port Townsend has earned a reputation for marine trades excellence, from world-class, blue water sails to the repair of the heavy wooden commercial boats that formed the backbone of the Alaska fishing fleet - and everything in-between. Come take a visual tour of the origins and evolution of the marine trades at Port of Port Townsend facilities -- Point Hudson and the Boat Haven -- including the 1977 launch of the Wooden Boat Festival. The photos and presentation are culled from the pages of "Working Port: 100 Years of the Port of Port Townsend," published in 2024 to mark the Port's centennial.
