Starting from a base in the traditional musics of North America and the British Isles, Opland's repertoire spreads through most of Northern Europe and touches on other cultures around the globe. Using an impressive range of instruments including hammered dulcimer, ocarina, hurdy-gurdy, cittern (octave mandolin), an unusual five-string violin/viola, guitar, recorder, and, of course, voice, this seasoned performer takes audiences on a diverse and engaging musical journey.

Tania Opland has been touring and recording for four decades and has appeared on radio and television in the U.S., Canada, Russia, Uzbekistan, Scotland, Ireland and England.
